We Need You

FCA is more than its staff. We're our donors and volunteers, our coaches and our athletes. We've answered a calling from the Lord. Will you join us?

We want to help you find your spot to serve

We have plenty of areas that need volunteers! Click on an area of interest below to learn more about it, and we'll get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Coach Support/Huddles

The Coaches Support Team (CST) is a small group of people who want to see the Gospel advance in their communitiesby engaging, equipping, and empowering coaches and helping them lead their athletes to Christ.

Areas of Emphasis

     o Serving—serving coaches and athletes

     o Training—training coaches and athletes

     o Huddles—support and logistics of

         Huddles

o Events—support and logistics of events

Serving in Huddles would mean volunteering as a Huddle Leader—organizing an FCA Huddle for a high school or college each week (or every other week) during the school year, discipling students to be leaders among each other and helping them as they study the Bible together, bringing in speakers, and organizing a Coaches Support Team. It could also mean simply helping or being a resource to a Huddle Leader.

Events

We have events that run throughout the year and are always in need of volunteers in areas from pre-event (mailings, phone calls, volunteer coordination) to during the event (set-up, registration, food service, worship), to post-event (clean-up, writing thank-you's, etc.).

Our events throughout the year include (but aren't limited to):

  • Fields of Faith

  • Year-End Funding
  • John Knicely's Super Sunday
  • Victory Rally (Legacy Dinner)
  • Omaha FCA's Stars + Stripes Classic/Freedom Cup
  • Distance Camp
  • Coaches TimeOut (formerly Coaches Marriage Weekend)
  • Omaha FCA Hockey Camp

Administrative

For those of you with giftings and who like working behind-the-scene, we'd love to have you join us in the office, or you can work in the comfort of your own home!

Our admin volunteers help us a couple of times a year when we have larger mailings (stuffing and addressing envelopes—this is especially true around our Victory Rally), coming in and helping to organize the office or cleaning out or files once a year and shredding documents...whatever we may need. It's a quiet office but when we're all in the same place at the same time, we're a riot!! (If we do say so ourselves...)

For more information, please fill out the form below.

Networking/Funding

Networking is helping us to meet others who may better help us reach our goals. By volunteering to help us network, you're volunteering to introduce us to people you think may be a great fit to partner with FCA in a staff role, as a donor, or as a volunteer. As this type of volunteer, you should have a large social network yourself.

This ministry can't survive without financial support. As a Funding partner, you're commiting to be a donor, whether it's through an Automated Monthly Partner (AMP) gift, or quarterly, or annual gift. This can be in any amount, or you can join our TLA program. This program is for those who give $10,000 or more per year.

Club Sports

We're diving into the Club Sports world, coming alongside those coaches and teams to support and disciple just as we do on campuses! With more and more athletes turning to club sports outside of schools, we need your help to meet this need!

In 2025, FCA created a new database regarding volunteers, the Volunteer Impact Portal, or VIP. As a result, the process by which you apply to be a volunteer—whether a Huddle Leader, general volunteer, camp staff, etc.—will look very different and require more steps than normal. Everyone is required to complete the VIP.  This thorough process is only for this first year as your information will be saved for future volunteer opportunities with FCA and will create future applications to be simpler and easier.

There are 4 steps you need to complete:
1. Create / complete a VIP account & spiritual profile

VIP Link: https://vip.fca.org

2. Complete E3 training in your VIP account

3. Complete the Child Abuse Prevention training in your VIP account

4. Apply to be a volunteer in whichever specific program you're looking for; if there is no specific program or event, please speak with an FCA staff person for more information on your next step

NOTE - If you already have a VIP account and have completed the E3 and Child Abuse Prevention training, you can simply apply to the program or event you're interested in.
