FCA Internships

The Internship experience is designed to develop student athletes in discerning their calling and career while introducing them to various aspects of ministry through FCA.

  • Who

FCA Interns are collegiate volunteers who engage through FCA in a learning and developmental ministry experience during a summer or a school semester. Interns who are serving through FCA are not employees and do not receive compensation by the hour or for production of their work.  Interns serving with FCA may receive a nominal stipend for living related expenses during the course of the internship.

  • What

As an intern, you'll spend the summer growing in relationship with the Lord and other interns and FCA staff, all while getting a taste of what it looks like to be on staff with FCA, and:

    • Creating disciple makers
    • Serving the local community
    • Fellowshipping together
    • Gaining leadership experience
    • Leading at local and regional camps
  • When

Applications open during late winter each year, with interviews and offers made in April. A one-day mandatory Fundraising Bootcamp will be available with fundraising for your position taking place before the internship begins.

The internship will last 10 weeks from late May to the end of July.

  • Where

Internships are in-office in the Omaha area; however, interns from across the state of Nebraska typically attend a retreat together and meet weekly (via Zoom or in-person) for accountability.

  • Why

The primary goal of each internship is to develop the intern’s understanding of his/her individual calling to ministry through related training and experience.
