All about Andrew

Andrew and his wife, Shana, have been married for 12 years. They have a daughter, Hallie, who loves art and swimming, and a son, Jack, who loves anything that involves the outdoors.

Fast Five:

  1. Coffee or tea? Coffee*
  2. It's dinner: Italian or Chinese? Italian, but preferably Cajun
  3. Football or Baseball? Both
  4. Phone call or text? Email
  5. Huskers or Huskers? 😉 NO. (Mikal gasps!) The Ohio State Buckeyes! Actually now I’m a Maverick and a Bruin**

Favorites:

  1. Dessert? Nearly any fruit pie or fruit crisp
  2. Sports team? Philadelphia anything, Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and Sixers. Go Philly!***
  3. Holiday? Christmas
  4. Song? Too many good ones to have a favorite. Maybe Rattle by Elevation worship?
  5. Book? Again, so many good ones to have a favorite. Most anything by Stephen Ambrose, also The Boys In the Boat by Daniel James Brown

FCA:

  1. Why did you join FCA? Sports and FCA has had a tremendous impact on my faith walk, and how I’ve come to know Christ. I’m so glad to now be a part of the ministry, to lead and disciple others through FCA.
  2. What is your favorite FCA memory? Being baptized by Wes Yeary at Baylor University.
  3. What is your passion within FCA? To see college athletes accept Christ and grow in a relationship with Him as Lord. Such an important time of life, and how amazing it is when that time is directed by Christ.

More:

  1. What did you want to be when you grew up? A firefighter, especially a smoke jumper, who doesn’t want to fight fires and also jump out of an airplane into the fires?
  2. If the Lord gave you a new calling outside of FCA, what do you think it would be? Coaching, God allowed me to use coaching and teaching as a ministry in the past.
  3. What is your favorite Scripture? Again, so many, but John 3:16, really captures God and His love for us, anyone who believes in Him, because of His love only.

*Mikal (the web content person) knew she liked him

**This second part of the answer is a wise answer considering the campuses he's working on...

***There is some second-guessing of this hire--we're thankful for God's grace
